[WoTB] System Requirements

Below are the current system (device) requirements for World of Tanks Blitz. Basically the question of which device is going to support Blitz and which isn't boils down to GPU.

So, for iOS:

Right now the game runs on tablets starting with iPad 2 (including mini) and smartphones starting with iPhone 4S. At least medium settings will be supported.

iPad 1 and iPhone 4 are not supported at this stage. We are working on it and will try to make the game work on those at least on minimum settings.

As for Android:

  • Tegra 3 - medium-low settings (optimization required and imporvement is possible)
  • Mali-400MP - medium-low settings (optimization required and imporvement is possible)
  • Adreno 225 - medium-low settings (optimization required and imporvement is possible)
  • PowerVP SGX544MP2 - medium+ settings

All GPUs that have better performance than those given above will run the game on medium or high settings. If a particular GPU will have issues running the game, we will try to fix it asap. Other GPUs which are not on the list will be supported gradually as their popularity grows.

GPU PowerVP SGX540 which is inside the popular Galaxy Tab 2 tablet is not supported at the moment, however we are working on this - there is a chance it will eventually run the game on low settings.

As for Graphics quality, for the time being we are using only medium settings which basically incorporate all our ideas constituting to "good visuals". Maximum settings are capped by our fantasies, like the one of adding normal map for tanks. It's not clear for now which devices are going to support this.

All the screenshots, you may have seen for far (here or here, represent not yet final medium settings.

PS: as for closed beta admission, iOS devices are likely to start first.

  1. Nuts, my tablet has Tegra 2. The curse of being an early adopter I suppose.

    Thanks for the specs though.

  2. Adreno 225 - medium-low settings (optimization required and imporvement is possible)

What about Adreno 320 (in conjunction with a quadcore cpu)?

    1. Ehh i guess Adreno 200 will be insufficient to run Blitz. Farewell mobile playing

    2. BTW OL i have very nice goal - optimize all textures and lighting (and every thing i can do client side) to run WoT 30fps on lowest setting on 1Ghz Brazos C60 + 2Gb Ram and Radeon HD6290. It's a tough thing to make xd

    3. Curious. Is it a matter of principle or not willing to upgrade? Anyway good luck with it!

  3. Cool stuff. So the Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 with Adreno 320 should run it smoothly i suggest.

I dont plan to play it regularly, but i wanna try it, just to know what it is like.

  4. Well my phone has adreno 225, i guess I'll be ok then.

  5. Was the Blitz also to participate in the unified Premium account status?

    1. Has to be decided. What do you prefer? :)

    2. Unified, I guess, since I already have Premium on the PC version.

  6. Now I feel like a noob here...
Will my ZTE Grand X Pro play the game on low?

    1. I think its some PowerVR SXG531 Ultra thingy :P . Not 100 % certain though.

    2. On GSM arena it's no possible to check it. I wonder whether it has any GPU. Probably the CPU is making graphics computing (its 1.2 ghz so high probability

    3. My search says PowerVR SXG531 Ultra is its GPU :P .

      Delete
    4. Well SXG540 is comparable to Adreno205 so i don't know if you'll be able to run Blitz dude xd

    5. Alexander Yordanov

If it's PowerVR SXG531, than, Im afraid, it wont work out

    6. No worries and thank you Overlord! Seems like I will play on my PC for now :). Cant wait to see the improved graphics.

    7. Bleh. SGX531 is what my phone has, too. I'm curious Overlord, why such a high bar for graphics requirements?

    8. We've set pretty high standard for visuals. Plus it's smth that is extremely rare on mobile - real time PvP action, with lots of real-time calculations on both client and server.

  7. Samsung Galaxy SII, Mali-400MP, feeeew, now i`m calm.

  8. Okay so my phone is more than covered. Is this thing ever going to release on ps Vita or would the buttons be too much of an advantage?

    1. No plans for Vita as of now.As for buttons, we are going to support various physical controllers like Moga or Logitech (for Apple).

  9. Yes! My Note II is equipped with the Mali-400MP.

  10. So... Is there any chance to run Blitz on Adreno 203 with 1gb RAM and ARM Cortex A5 MSM8225Q 4x1,2GHz?
    :)

    1. According to the "internets", it's either on par or way below Mali 400MP, so it either runs or it doesn't, You'll have to test it yourself.

      Delete
    2. I don't think the 203 will be able to run it,

      benchmarks: http://techivian.com/mali-400mp-vs-sgx-543mp4-vs-543mp3-vs-543mp2-vs-540-vs-535-vs-adreno-320-vs-225-vs-220-vs-205-vs-mali-400-vs-intel-xolo/

in several benchmarks, the 225 is almost 3x faster than the 203, and if the 225 can only run low-med settings, I doubt the 203 can.

  11. I guess I have to wait with my Motorola Razr Maxx.

  12. So WotB will run on my phone. Thats pretty cool.

Totally unrelated: has WG thought of making the T-28 with the 85mm into a premium tank? I miss that thing.

    1. Nope, based on the full tech trees, when I checked them last. It was some time ago though.

  13. Where can I apply as a beta tester (iPad 3)?

    1. On WoT portal or WoT Blitz promo-site - that's will be decided.

  14. How about phones and tablets with windows?

    1. No support for now. May be some time later.

    2. Sure hope so, Nokia Windows phones are becoming pretty popular too! Would think it won't be hard to port to that platform....

    3. Keep in mind WOT runs on Surface Pro.

  15. will it also run on the single-core sgx544?

  19. So mt6589 with power sgx544mp can play it?

  20. Hopefully you guys can make it compatible with the PowerVR SGX 540. It is very common and popular. Still I don't know if it will run in my Razr i (it has a intel processor). If you guys use special ARM-only instructions then i'm screwed.

  21. Hi OL!

Missed something that should be changed in WoT to make it more user friendly.

Introduce 2-3 predefined setups for ammuniion load out and consumables together with equipment.

As it is now I have to go and switch ammo and consumables before every CW battle, if I played that tank in random before. Its going on my nerves really.

Equipment should also be included because on some tanks like the AMX50 100 some people use for eSports you use different equipment in random matches and eSport.

  22. Hello how will look compatibility on CPUs, speed od CPU, RAM, Android versions and GPU PowerVR SGX which is in much devices?
(I have Acer Iconia b1-710 with PowerVR SGX531)

How will look inviting friends to battle? I hope it will not ne only via FB ( i don't like it xD), Google+ can be good, or the best is inviting/asking for add to friendlist via email or nickname because very much good multiplayer games has this thing bad.(idk how it look on PC version because i have very bad PC, where i can't run this awesome game :'( )

    1. I'm afraid PowerVR SGX531 may be not enough to play Blitz.

As for friend invitations, we would like to have quick social media services and also enable making contacts within the game similar to PC

  26. Overlord, is WoTB going to run on Ouya?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I see that MALI-400MP is supported. However my tablet has SGX540. In most benchmarks i see that the SGX540 is better than MALI-400MP. Why SGX540 isn`t supported? I`d be dissapointed by not being able to play this.
