[WoWS] Warships Tested

The development of World of Warships has progressed a lot for the last few months. A lot feautres and new content have been added to the game, and even more concepts and game design documents have been devised for future. However it was the right time to put the game through so-called focus-testing (by a small group of people representing the target audience) that took place in late July in Saint-Petersburg, Russia (this is where the developer Lesta Studio is located).

15 luckers were given an opportunity to check out the early build.

Lesta producers are really impatient

Playing the game

Tired game designer

The enemy is going to the bottom

Everything goes as intended, Serb makes a lunch-break

It appeared that girls liked battleships most

Basically everything went good which means that the core gameplay will be finalized or nearly finalized quite soon.

More stuff on WoWS is to come.

    4. WoWP sucks pretty bad. Saw many Alpha testers quit and many beta testers quit.

I think WoWP is going to be a flop. BUT WoWS is going to be amazing!

    1. That's my own expectation, I don't work on the project directly, so can be wrong with it. :)

    2. By the looks of it, given WG's track record & judging by the all the non wrist watch people in the photos I would say 2015 for alpha at the earliest.

  4. Any idea on types of ships to look forward to? I.e. Submarines, Cruisers, speedboats, Destroyers?

Also just a guess but after WarGaming's purchase of the engine company I would think that one day in the 20## future that we are going to click an icon that will essentially put us in a locker-room of tanks, planes and boats. So if one day we will be playing "World of WarGames" then I say nothing is withheld from us which we have conceived to do and keep moving forward.

    1. Q&A posted on FB yesterday:

Q: Which ships and eras will be represented in the game?

A: The game will include ships from the beginning to the midpoint of the 20th century. We’re going to have four types of ships: battleships and battle cruisers, aircraft carriers (with some hybrids), cruisers (light and heavy), and destroyers. We plan on having two nations, the United States and Japan, ready for the release of the game.
