True, they should make some trenches and earth walls near pillbox and make ground more hilly to obscure movement in some areas. Definitely not my favourite map.

Overlord: Please tweak the map rotation so we can enjoy this new map. Maybe even make it possible to choose only to "play the newest map avalible". Not all of us can spend a day to try getting into the new map in random game. Last time i played for several hours before i could try sigfried line in random battle for the first time.

I've never played a free game as good as World of Tanks, so really I'm better off waiting for it and still see what changes they were able to pull off with what they got. Even though you are a player that pays them, you should also have already know that the Russian tech line wasn't touched for long already and the US was just revamped just one patch ago. Really, let them do what they want...if it's US-Russ-German-Us-Russ-German with regards to those changes in plan for them, then its better that way.
I could care less about new maps. FIX THE AMERICAN HEAVY LINE. You made the T30 unplayable last update, so now replace it like you said you were. Anyone knows you can't play this game for free unless you want to stay at Tier 7. For those of us who actually like playing Tier 9, 10, it's not free and will never be free given how often they lower the credit multiplier. WoT is just getting greedy and wants people to buy premiums not get them. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed their mind and replaced the T34 with the M103 instead of making it a free premium tank.
I heard update 7.0 is coming out early in October? Is that true? And it's including new French tree, maps, game modes, adaptive camo as extra slot and new physics engine! I'm willing to buy more gold if that's true. Plz confirm.
I love this game and cant wait for the new maps, but I have 1 thing I would like to see in the next few updates. Its not something that the Devs can do but, I would like to start seeing people cry less. Just in these comments I have seen someone cry about the "unplayable" T30, last time I checked that was the only tanks that I have been one shotted by in my IS-4. I have seen people cry about the russiuan tanks, german tanks, extra unused space on new maps, The devs being greedy and this not being a free game. they should've come out one per month, 6.6 was delayed ~2 or more weeks, by this time we should already be on 6.7 yet there isn't even mention of a changelog!(remember that 6.6 changelog was tpresent no less than 1~2months in advance). So i have no idea how they're going to do it but patch needs to be released next week(not that i care since they're pushing all the good changes further and further) to stay in cadence...

And this talk of its impossible to play tier 9's and 10's is utter crap. I support two tier 9's with two tier 6's and a 5. Without premium. Its how the game works people. If you payed your way through whatever line and find it doesnt work the way you want, its because you skipped all the tanks that were 'hard to use' and didnt learn a thing. Grow up.
I do love the new maps but I, like many others I'm sure, did spend money on the game to tech up to my T-30 and find it woefully inadequate against equivalent tiers of enemy tanks. Sure it has a big gun, but it still bounces all the time, and is egregiously expensive to operate. I know tier 10s are supposed to be credit sinks, but it's enormously frustrating to play the entire round, win, hit every shot, and still lose credits because so many of them didn't do any damage.
I'd really prefer to see needed changes go in before a continuous stream of new maps. Again, I do love the maps, but the maps will be just as unpleasant for some players as every other map is currently without making the tanks they spent so much time, and in many (if not most) cases real money on more playable and enjoyable.

I've had my T30 for a few months now and i'm not sure where this t30 hate comes from but maybe your not sure how to play it. I have great stats in mine and wouldn't trade it for a maus or IS7, I would also go toe to toe with either and win over %50 of the time for sure.

I think all the hate comes in because people really like the game, but anyone that played Beta knows the game is on a fast pace to being ridiculous. Fix the American/Russian lines first, who cares about a new map. Stop releasing stupid premium tanks to pad your wallets. People see right through it. Greed isn't pretty.
T30 as good as a IS-7/Maus? HAHAHAHA. I have an IS-4 and a T30 and I much prefer my IS-4 and I get ranked lower. The T30 gun still dings off a Maus so a Maus can easily take a T30 1v1 if it knows how to angle it's body.
Also this game isn't free. If you want to play a extremely sub-standard version, yes. But it's so bad w/o premium you have to play Tier 5-6 tanks just to afford a decent tank Tier 9-10. Who wants to play a crap tank for 3-4 matches so they can play a good one for 1?
With my arty i have no problems keeping credits with my Is-4.... 20-30k gain a game with my tier 6 m12 it keeps everything going plus i have 8 tanks so i have a wide choice of things to play.

I kill IS with my T-50-2 light tank with 6 shot. IS dont hit me, im too quick. Than i go to enemy base kill 2 arty ( Hummel, M41), going back to base i kill KV3 ( 30% ), and i got defender for shot on cap SU-100. TOO QUICK, OP for sure,... Somethings wrong. Maybe nerf gun or motor.
If you buy 30000 gold for 99,95€, the price is 33,32€. Type59=BF3. 7500 gold is enough for this chinese beast from Walmart for me. Its not better as KV-5 and also if come IS-6 ( i bet for 10k gold ) its too expensive.

A: M103 is likely to arrive this year, as for T110, I doubt it can make it too.
you (wg.net) might know that hats and playerskins are very good selling items in games like tf2, lol and battlefield heroes. is it planned to add cosmetic stuff for our tanks in the future? i´m not talking about the camo skins. i know about those and really looking forward to have them. but what about things like machine-guns for the turret, extra armour (without any bonus of course) in form of parts of the tracks? maybe boxes or other equipment. you get the idea.. things to make the tank look more individual. even small things like scratches or dents would be great.

Since this vote is about the overall performance of the E-Series I also voted that it performs good. But I did this because the E-50 and E-75 (test realm fix for the mudflaps is great btw.) perform quite good.

that`s true, E-75 is a good tank, i don`t have E-50 but it looks like a good tank,... But I have also E-100 and this holy shit of metal crap is on most of the maps for the ASS! In town maps u have a chance but on all desert and open ragne maps u are a victim for nearly every enemy!

Don't nerf E-75. If you encounter people knowing its weakspots your gone pretty fast. So if you nerf it now it will become a nightmare once more people know its weakspots.
For maps: Please add a Map "Hedge Row". It would make close combat possible. With walls and hedges for destructable cover. It could break the usual two or three avenues of approach character of maps.

Stop whining about the T34 and T30 damnit. Yes they promised the M103 and T110 a long time ago, but that happens in software development; you can't meet all the deadlines you've fixed yourself.
And I firmly believe that the T30 and the T34 are both excellent tanks, yes they are very different form other high tier heavies and are quite hard to master, if it were so easy it wouldn't be so much fun kicking arse with these two tanks ;)

Shiki. The JP E-100 will almost certainly not get a 170mm gun. Current speculation states that it will get an "AT" variant of the 150mm gun on the E-100 [more accurate, higher RoF).
Q1: Will be possible in future in game changing weather like raining, snowing, perhaps also some of the battle at sunset etc?
Q2: Will be possible to see some air fights on sky or perhaps some fights, explosions ets outside the map to dont have feeling like the whole war taking place on a few square meters?

A: E-100 performs better than "the old" tier 10s. There are no issues with it.
From my experience in Clan Wars, I would have to agree with Overlord that the E-100 outperforms the old Tier 10s.
Which brings me to my next point, if that is the case, why were the Maus, IS-7 and T30 nerfed HP wise, which only increases their misperformance with respect to the E-100?
Would it not make more sense to wait and gather data on the performance of the E-100 before making changes to the older tier tanks?
I think the developers are doing a great job so far with content and balance, but this Tier 10 fiasco I simply can not help but see as a blunder on their part, with respect to Tier 10 tank balance.

Overlord, why cannot S-70 with 260 AP penetrate front E75 hull armor, which is 160... this happend 3 times in the row. And about the same problem with E100 side armor, 130 and cannot be penetrated. If anything, current E series is OP as hell.
Q: In the revised US tech trees, there's a way from the M7 to the M4 sherman, and the one from the M7 to the M4A3E8 is removed. Considering the addition of the M4A3E2 in the 6.7 update, can we expect this too? If not, when?

Thr game takes the angle of the armour into account. That means that the value of the armour only counts for projectiles hitting it directly from an 90 degrees angle.
The ca. 45 degrees angle of the E-75 front armour doubles the amount of armour(there are some other factors but as a rule of thumb it is sufficient)
So it has basically 300mm of armour against your 260mmof penetration!
The map looked like another Redshire at first, but I really like it so far. Looks like enough cover from arty, but didn't have much arty on it in the four or five testgames on it.
Yes, the map is nicely done. Doesn't change the fact this game is DEAD in NA. This patch contains jack-squat of interest to the majority like other patches did, it's more of a panic patch. You guys fumbled around for too long with new modes, and decided it was good to not focus resources here, but instead start dumping them into two new games.
"You don't know our finances". No, I don't. But I know WoT is far behind on content, not to mention game modes (it still has 1 freaking mode after over a year lol), and physics/balance revamp. So it's easy, and mostly correct to draw conclusions the way that WoT is basically not worthy to be called more than "Just a Beta" still.
I said in the past to get with it, but now it's too late. It's Sept now, BF3 open beta this month, with release next month. CoD/Uncharted in Nov, and Star Wars/Guild Wars 2 not that far off. Enjoy your russian fanbase, that's all that's going to be left. Who knows, maybe they'll be jumping ship as well.
Don't worry, this map is going to be another bad map and we all know it. The map makers have their heads just as far up their rear ends as the regular developers do.

The E-Series is pretty cool, I got the E-75 and was happy until everybody knew about the mudflaps weakpoint. But if there are no further changes to patch 6.7, theses bugs are going to be fixed (a 128mm shell bounced of my mudflaps!) I already fear the E-75 more than the IS-4 on the test servers!
Like I stated a gazillion times, I'm disappointed by the 150mm gun, that's just a wheel of fortune, but I kind of accept the E-100 with the 128mm gun. Undergunned, but still fun to play.
The only disappointment in 6.7 is the fact, that there are no changes for the E-100.
Non the less, the E-Series ends with the E-75 for me and I'm going for the American tanks now and I'm glad to hear, that the M103 is (most likely) coming this year.
All in all I'm still happy with the game, but I'm also concerned because the big patch 7.0 so far only has the camo system and nothing else (spectacular at least).
But getting the French tree in could be more time consuming than WN thought.

Well, coming means they are new. So it's quite likely that they leave as fast as they came, when recognizing all that flaws and bias of this game.
Further take a look at the EU Forum. Maybe the Russian and eastern Europe Community was fine with last patch.

Noticed that there is a gunboat of some sort sitting off shore. Just for fun, is there any way that the devs can arrange it that if anyone on either team shoots at it, it will shoot back with say four inch guns? Totally blow away whoever shoots at it? I can see many noobs being surprised...

More chinese tanks... maybe tier 7 Type62 if they add Type59... Type62 is a Type59 with less armor and mounting a 85mm gun, is the cheaper version of Type59 a light tank on his moment but on game could be a decent med tier... 7 maybe.
Oooo any notices about Type59 cost??? i read that is reduced to 7.500... maybe a little more with a promotion??? buy it for 5.000 on first week could be great.
Sorry i dont talk about the map... is a great map, a Sigfried line map but with more usable open terrain, city is down and open terrain is up oposite on Sigfried and has a very interesting feature sumilar than on red shire in a flank.
Ooo and has a bus!!! on city there is a bus only see the wreck but maybe is a smashing feature on map it need a medal hehehe.
Create some city maps or factory complex, we got a lot open terrain maps, but not so many city maps. I hope this map is as good as mountain pass or himmelsdorf

ReplyDeleteTrue, they should make some trenches and earth walls near pillbox and make ground more hilly to obscure movement in some areas. Definitely not my favourite map.
Will the changes of KV and KV3 be in the same patch? Not asking about the time of the patch relese but if does two tanks will be subtituted in the same patch or two different patches? Can you answear Overlord :) please

I've never played a free game as good as World of Tanks, so really I'm better off waiting for it and still see what changes they were able to pull off with what they got. Even though you are a player that pays them, you should also have already know that the Russian tech line wasn't touched for long already and the US was just revamped just one patch ago. Really, let them do what they want...if it's US-Russ-German-Us-Russ-German with regards to those changes in plan for them, then its better that way.
It'd be awesome if you died, and then got to play some fishing mini-game.

For those of us who actually like playing Tier 9, 10, it's not free and will never be free given how often they lower the credit multiplier. WoT is just getting greedy and wants people to buy premiums not get them. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed their mind and replaced the T34 with the M103 instead of making it a free premium tank.

what's more, i wouldn't even bet on it coming out before xmas...., they're running VERY late with patches again....
they should've come out one per month, 6.6 was delayed ~2 or more weeks, by this time we should already be on 6.7 yet there isn't even mention of a changelog!(remember that 6.6 changelog was tpresent no less than 1~2months in advance).
So i have no idea how they're going to do it but patch needs to be released next week(not that i care since they're pushing all the good changes further and further) to stay in cadence...

T34 is really bad compare to IS 4, E75 and VK4502P. Tier 5 like KV, SU 85 and almost all tier 6 can penetrate front hull of T34&T30 and deal damage.
T34 and T30 is easy to die more than other Tier 9,10 heavy

And this talk of its impossible to play tier 9's and 10's is utter crap. I support two tier 9's with two tier 6's and a 5. Without premium. Its how the game works people. If you payed your way through whatever line and find it doesnt work the way you want, its because you skipped all the tanks that were 'hard to use' and didnt learn a thing. Grow up.
I do love the new maps but I, like many others I'm sure, did spend money on the game to tech up to my T-30 and find it woefully inadequate against equivalent tiers of enemy tanks. Sure it has a big gun, but it still bounces all the time, and is egregiously expensive to operate. I know tier 10s are supposed to be credit sinks, but it's enormously frustrating to play the entire round, win, hit every shot, and still lose credits because so many of them didn't do any damage.

Again, I do love the maps, but the maps will be just as unpleasant for some players as every other map is currently without making the tanks they spent so much time, and in many (if not most) cases real money on more playable and enjoyable.

I've had my T30 for a few months now and i'm not sure where this t30 hate comes from but maybe your not sure how to play it. I have great stats in mine and wouldn't trade it for a maus or IS7, I would also go toe to toe with either and win over %50 of the time for sure.

ReplyDeleteT30 as good as a IS-7/Maus? HAHAHAHA. I have an IS-4 and a T30 and I much prefer my IS-4 and I get ranked lower. The T30 gun still dings off a Maus so a Maus can easily take a T30 1v1 if it knows how to angle it's body.
Also this game isn't free. If you want to play a extremely sub-standard version, yes. But it's so bad w/o premium you have to play Tier 5-6 tanks just to afford a decent tank Tier 9-10. Who wants to play a crap tank for 3-4 matches so they can play a good one for 1?
If we cant sink them... can we drive on them? :p

you (wg.net) might know that hats and playerskins are very good selling items in games like tf2, lol and battlefield heroes.
is it planned to add cosmetic stuff for our tanks in the future? i´m not talking about the camo skins. i know about those and really looking forward to have them. but what about things like machine-guns for the turret, extra armour (without any bonus of course) in form of parts of the tracks? maybe boxes or other equipment. you get the idea.. things to make the tank look more individual.
even small things like scratches or dents would be great.

Why don't just drive a Russian heavy, they are all like that, no need to drastically change the last tank of a line of slow but powerfull tanks into that.
And yes I wan't another slow bunker, but with not as good armor as the mouse but better armed.

Stop whining about the T34 and T30 damnit. Yes they promised the M103 and T110 a long time ago, but that happens in software development; you can't meet all the deadlines you've fixed yourself.
ReplyDeleteAnd I firmly believe that the T30 and the T34 are both excellent tanks, yes they are very different form other high tier heavies and are quite hard to master, if it were so easy it wouldn't be so much fun kicking arse with these two tanks ;)

Now they keep getting pushed back Why? Give us the reasons why you guys keep dropping the ball. Just let us know whats going on. ReplyDeleteThe JP E-100 will almost certainly not get a 170mm gun. Current speculation states that it will get an "AT" variant of the 150mm gun on the E-100 [more accurate, higher RoF).

ReplyDeleteA: E-100 performs better than "the old" tier 10s. There are no issues with it.
From my experience in Clan Wars, I would have to agree with Overlord that the E-100 outperforms the old Tier 10s.
Which brings me to my next point, if that is the case, why were the Maus, IS-7 and T30 nerfed HP wise, which only increases their misperformance with respect to the E-100?
Would it not make more sense to wait and gather data on the performance of the E-100 before making changes to the older tier tanks?
I think the developers are doing a great job so far with content and balance, but this Tier 10 fiasco I simply can not help but see as a blunder on their part, with respect to Tier 10 tank balance.

Maybe you should see how many ppl quit this game or switch on another nation.
Overlord, why cannot S-70 with 260 AP penetrate front E75 hull armor, which is 160... this happend 3 times in the row. And about the same problem with E100 side armor, 130 and cannot be penetrated. If anything, current E series is OP as hell.

Thr game takes the angle of the armour into account. That means that the value of the armour only counts for projectiles hitting it directly from an 90 degrees angle.
The ca. 45 degrees angle of the E-75 front armour doubles the amount of armour(there are some other factors but as a rule of thumb it is sufficient)
So it has basically 300mm of armour against your 260mmof penetration!

Yes, the map is nicely done. Doesn't change the fact this game is DEAD in NA. This patch contains jack-squat of interest to the majority like other patches did, it's more of a panic patch. You guys fumbled around for too long with new modes, and decided it was good to not focus resources here, but instead start dumping them into two new games.

But I know WoT is far behind on content, not to mention game modes (it still has 1 freaking mode after over a year lol), and physics/balance revamp. So it's easy, and mostly correct to draw conclusions the way that WoT is basically not worthy to be called more than "Just a Beta" still.
I said in the past to get with it, but now it's too late. It's Sept now, BF3 open beta this month, with release next month. CoD/Uncharted in Nov, and Star Wars/Guild Wars 2 not that far off. Enjoy your russian fanbase, that's all that's going to be left. Who knows, maybe they'll be jumping ship as well.

The E-Series is pretty cool, I got the E-75 and was happy until everybody knew about the mudflaps weakpoint. But if there are no further changes to patch 6.7, theses bugs are going to be fixed (a 128mm shell bounced of my mudflaps!)
I already fear the E-75 more than the IS-4 on the test servers!
Like I stated a gazillion times, I'm disappointed by the 150mm gun, that's just a wheel of fortune, but I kind of accept the E-100 with the 128mm gun. Undergunned, but still fun to play.
The only disappointment in 6.7 is the fact, that there are no changes for the E-100.
Non the less, the E-Series ends with the E-75 for me and I'm going for the American tanks now and I'm glad to hear, that the M103 is (most likely) coming this year.
All in all I'm still happy with the game, but I'm also concerned because the big patch 7.0 so far only has the camo system and nothing else (spectacular at least).
But getting the French tree in could be more time consuming than WN thought.

I hope that the designers got the message that the less protection there is against arty on a map, the less the players like it.
A lot of the arty hate comes from maps like malinovka,sand river and komarin.
You get spotted and your dead. They are kind of okay without arty, but usually they are just painfull!
Played the new map a few times and so far wasn't destroyed by arty (I hope this is a good sign ^^ )

Well, coming means they are new. So it's quite likely that they leave as fast as they came, when recognizing all that flaws and bias of this game.
Further take a look at the EU Forum. Maybe the Russian and eastern Europe Community was fine with last patch.

ReplyDeleteM103 this year to get my T34 hopefully, chinese T59 very dissapointed. Nice medium tank but otherwise can't play with big boys in it.
You can enjoy it for free because some "socially dysfunctional adults" like me are actually _paying_ a lot for the game. But if WG wants to keep only the free players, well, than they are on track..

Just for fun, is there any way that the devs can arrange it that if anyone on either team shoots at it, it will shoot back with say four inch guns? Totally blow away whoever shoots at it? I can see many noobs being surprised...

ReplyDeleteMore chinese tanks... maybe tier 7 Type62 if they add Type59... Type62 is a Type59 with less armor and mounting a 85mm gun, is the cheaper version of Type59 a light tank on his moment but on game could be a decent med tier... 7 maybe.

Sorry i dont talk about the map... is a great map, a Sigfried line map but with more usable open terrain, city is down and open terrain is up oposite on Sigfried and has a very interesting feature sumilar than on red shire in a flank.
