Wargaming.net and Lesta Studio Announce Partnership

London, United Kingdom (21 April 2011) - Wargaming.net LLP, famous for developing Massive Assault, Order of War and World of Tanks, and Lesta Studio (Elements of War, Pacific Storm and Aggression: Reign over Europe) announce long-term partnership.

Joint game develoment is supposed to be mutually beneficial and lead to years of efficient cooperation. The deal will allow Wargaming.net to strengthen its position on the MMO market as game developer and publisher.

Wargaming.net is a strategy game developer operating since 1998. The company is based in London with development center in Belarus. In November 2007 Wargaming.net acquired Arise, an independent PC game studio,and currently consists of nearly 250 employees.

Lesta Studio is a full service game development and video production company. It is one of the leading studios in the field of visual effects for film and video games in Russia. The studio is located in the historical center of Saint-Petersburg. For these years it has developed and launched with the assistance The Entente WWI Battlefields, Pacific Storm, Pacific Storm: Allies, Aggression: Reign over Europe, 9^th Company: Roots of Terror and Cannon Strike.

Meeting in Paris, France

World of Tanks development team is meeting French players April 21, 2011 in Paris.

Panzer V/IV Alpha is in Game

Gift premium tank Panzer V/IV Alpha has been granted to all valued contributors of the project, including but not limited to moderators, translators, wiki editors.

It can be recognized by silly alpha letters on its front hull and side turret.

World of Tanks: Pre-Release Maintenance

World of Tanks goes live April 12, 2011.


The maintenance works are scheduled for 4:00 am UTC / 0:00 am EDT, April 12.
Esimated downtime - up to 18 hours.

Technical details of the upcoming hardwipe / full reset:

- Banned accounts (the ones on the non-selected server) created during the server-split on January 17 are to be removed. 
- Social contacts are to be removed (friends and ingnore lists).
- Registered clans and their members are to be carried over to the release.
- Hardwipe / full reset is to be performed: experience, gold, credits, research progress, modules, equipment, achievements and medals are to be reset.
- Premium tanks for those players who registered using special CBT keys are to be assigned (extra slot included).
- CBT participants registered prior to January 27, 2011 00:00:00 UTC with 1.000 or more battles played according to profile statistics are to be rewarded with M4A2E4 gift tank (extra slot included).

Release version - 0.6.3.11. It will be available for downloading upon the server launch.

Note! Pre-order packages can be activated by typing your promo-code into the respective form only when the servers are up and running.

KV-5 and Lowe. Specifications.

Lowe (tier 8 heavy). A project of a super-heavy tank developed by the Krupp company. Several prototypes varying in armament and components were designed, but no trial prototype was ever built. The vehicle did not undergo any trials.

KV-5 (tier 7 heavy). The development of the KV-5 started in June 1941. The project works were completed by August. The trial prototype was never constructed due to the the Leningrad Blockade.
