Upcoming 1.2 update for World of Tanks Blitz is to feature a set of visual improvements, the biggest of which is realistic grass. In 1.2 it will grow only on tutorial map, while the rest of the maps will be fully planted in 1.3. New grass will be supported by the following devices: iPad Air, iPad mini Retina, iPhone 5s.
Everything is made a little better by the addition of good grass. :P
ReplyDeleteWhen will 1.2.0 be released
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean that an iphone 4s will be unable to see the new grass or that it just wont run as well
DeleteNick,
Deletelater this week. It has already been approved by apple.
iphone 4s will have the same grass as now.
DeleteStill wondering why this was released for just iOS, when that is a minority market share. Is Android just that hard to program on, or what?
ReplyDeleteiOS is much easier/faster in terms of resources, especially for a game like ours.
DeletePlus roughly half of Android devices won't be able to run the game at all, so even the share difference is not that huge.
Ah, ok, thanks for the insight. I hope you do have plans to eventually come over.
DeleteAs it's possible to modify files that change graphics of the game, which graphics mode will grass be on? 0 being the lowest and 3 being the highest
ReplyDeleteShould be the highest.
DeleteIt might be inappropriate for this topic, however do you have any tips for future wowp development - such as soon(TM) tech trees and clan implement, etc...-?
ReplyDeleteClans - for sure. It's been one of the priorities for quite some time.
DeleteThis looks like an interesting update, I was wondering will Androids have a Closed Beta Test? If so, or even if not, Will they start out on the same version as IOS so far? just wondering, Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThere will be news on Android testing in the coming weeks.
DeleteThat KV-3 turret is different from the PC game, is it suppose to be like that or?
ReplyDeleteThere is a glitch. Taken from the editor, not the game.
DeleteWhy can't you add grass effects for iPad 4 and IPhone 5 , they both run game at stable 60 FPS ?
ReplyDeleteThey both failed performance tests with the new grass. Shader performance is not that great on previous gen.
