[WoWS] Battleship "D", Preliminary IJN Design.

Hi everyone!

Today is a good day to show you a very interesting IJN design. This design is definately from 1920s times, and it is a direct successor of such ships as Nagato, and, of course, Kaga and Akagi (in their original design).

Here it is:

As you can see, this is a very powerfull ship: it has six twin 410mm guns, what gives us twelve in summary.
While it is fast with the approximate speed of 30 knots, it is comparatively well armored with his 12" belt aswell.

Also, if you look closely to how the gun mounts are situated, you'll see that mounts are divided into three groups of two mounts each, thus making firecontrol easier to operate.

When taking into consideration the actual rate of fire of the Nagato class, which was 1.5 to 2.5 rounds per minute, we will get the 18 to 30 tonns weight of salvo per minute.
Iowa had "only" 22 tonns weight of salvo per minute, for example.

I think this ship will take a respected place in the post-release updates of World of Warships.

KGB out.

  1. that's some impressive firepower, the drawback, it needs to be broadsided
I think I saw an US design for a BS similar to this one while playing the CBT for NavyField2

    1. Well, yes, it is in some way a traditional superdreadnought design, based on a prerequisite that future sea battles will take place between battleships in columns.

    2. searching for same period designs, the only ones (that I found) similar to this firepower were the Italian Andrea Doria and USS Arizona (1916)

    3. Actually, only South Dakota (the first South Dakota class, which could be the huge superdreadnought with twelve 16" guns) could match this design.

    4. USS South Dakota was way late design

  2. isnt that just like a huge Ise/Fuso design featuring some things of the Yamato class?

    Going to be ingame?

    1. No, it isn't Ise/Fuso. As I've said it is a successor of Nagato, Akagi and Kaga designs.

Maybe it will be a part of a some later post-release updates of WoWS. Definately it is not in initial IJN tree.

  3. Since we're talking about Japanese ships, a question, if you wouldn't mind:

How will the "Pagoda mast" be treated in WOWS?
Will it be a no-brainer upgrade from non-pagoda style similar to most stock turret - upgraded turret relationship in WoT?
ex) in WoT, for US heavy T32, no one in sane mind ever uses stock turret if upgraded turret is researched and available.

Or will the pagoda mast just provide another option with its own cons and pros?
ex) in WoT, for US med Jumbo Sherman, both stock turret w/ 105mm and upgraded turret w/ 76mm are viable, each with its own cons and pros.

  4. There won't be any direct mast upgrades, as a standalone modules. Mast would be integrated with hull along with bridges, anchors, superstructures and so on.
Hull upgrades will be what all of our presets system is based on.

    1. So basicaly what we will have would be more or less like:
      - Hull
      - Primary weapons (big guns)
      - Secondary weapons (small / aa guns)
      - Engines
      - Navigation

This more or less would equal the number of modules that are available in WoT and WoWp. Of course that's only my guess, and probably there are some diferences between this and the actual ingame upgrae system, but at least You can confirm if the general idea is correct ;)

    3. but what you can, is to allow us access into the ALPHA build :)

    4. But we don't need details ... just a general idea what to expect, and it will be more than enough to wait till You let us see in a beta or alpha ;)

  6. I hope you guys do ship combat well. The customization in Navy field of the ships was really good. for example You could increase the armor on the sides of the ship or the decks but in return would make your ship slow. It also allowed you to put different guns or even a plane was able to launch from your battleship to scout for you.

  7. It’s critical to notice that the autocad architecture 2013 advertisements usually are not a long term capacity that Microsoft will incorporate into the OS; they are already there. A research for “State Farm,” for instance, showed the advert given that the very first outcome, followed by a Bing Maps backlink to close by offices, after which the homepage of Point out Farm Insurance policies. The 3rd result, buy autocad lt 2013 quite possibly one of the most relevant, was viewable without having sliding or scrolling the monitor horizontally.
